Believed to have originated in India, Greece and Italy
Cultivated as early as 8,000 B.C. (Amazing!)
Cucumbers are 95% water and really do not have much nutritional value (except maybe hydration)
There are 31 people in the US with the last name and all live in North Carolina!
If you are allergic to pollen and/or aspirin do not eat cucumbers they can cause a terrible mouth itch! Who knew?

I just grated some for Tzatziki and had to squeeze out the moisture from the cucumbers. It always amazes me how much liquid comes out of them even though I do it all the time!
